How This Directory Works
A plain explanation of where these listings come from, how ratings work, and what “claiming” your business actually does.
Where the listings come from
Every business on this site is a real, active auto repair shop, tire shop, or mechanic in the Houston metro area, sourced from Yelp’s public business directory. We did not invent any of these businesses, and we do not accept payment to add a listing that wouldn’t otherwise qualify — every real auto-related business we found in our data pull is listed, for free, automatically.
How ratings and reviews work
The star rating and review count shown on each listing (labeled “Yelp: X stars”) are the business’s real, current rating from Yelp at the time our data was collected — not something we made up, and not paid placement. We do not generate, edit, or embellish reviews. If a business has 0 Yelp reviews, we show that honestly rather than hiding it or inventing a better number.
Is there a vetting process?
Honest answer: not yet. Right now, every real auto-related business we found gets listed automatically — there’s no minimum rating, no interview, and no fee required to appear in the basic directory. We’re not going to claim a curation standard we don’t actually enforce. If that changes in the future (for example, a verified badge with real requirements), this page will be updated to say exactly what those requirements are.
What “claiming your listing” does
If you own one of these businesses, you can claim your free listing to correct any details and add information we don’t otherwise have — your own description, services, and hours. Anything you add yourself is clearly your own information, not something we’ve verified independently on your behalf.
About the photos
Where a listing shows a photo, it was sourced from that business’s public Google Business listing, not taken or verified by us in person. If a photo looks wrong for a listing, or you’d like to replace it with your own, let us know or claim your listing to update it.
